David Vader, PA Capital Region Breadcoin
David Vader is a Professor Emeritus of Engineering at Messiah University, Co-Founder at AlignedWorks Venture Talent, and the PA Regional Coordinator for Breadcoin. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University.
David began his career with IBM where he was awarded nine patents for thermal management of computing systems. He is the recipient of a Smith Outstanding Teaching Award from Messiah University and was named Technology Educator of the Year by the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania.
He co-founded and served as Director of the Collaboratory, a center that places undergraduates on intergenerational teams where they learn engineering by completing projects on behalf of underserved communities. His current interests include community building and stakeholder capitalism.
David is at his best when helping others to build tangible programmatic expressions of their values and ideals.
The RCWS is hosting a free community movie and panel discussion on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the West Shore Theater (317 Bridge Street, New Cumberland).
This free public event that is made possible thought a District 7390 Club Grant. This event will focus on Rotary International President Gordan McInally’s focus on mental health. Let’s pack the theatre!
