Thanks to David's hard work with the Dictionary Project, our club is committed to distributing dictionaries to students enrolled in the Salvation Army's summer program.
The distribution will take place from 8:30 - 9:00 am (ish) on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at the Salvation Army building located at 506 South 29th Street in Harrisburg. This activity is in lieu of our regular club meeting.
Once again, our club will participate in the Camp Hill National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Willow Park. THANK YOU to Rod, Rob, Mark, Joe, Tim, and Bim for signing up to help out with this event! Those who participated had a great time at this wonderful community event!
The event runs from 6:00-8:00 pm, however vendors are asked to be set-up by 5:15. If you are able to help with set-up, please arrive by 5:00 pm. Our table is at the corner of Market and 24th Street.
The Camp Hill Police Department will provide a table. Please bring a chair if you wish to sit during the event.
Our club will have lollipops, water, temporary tattoos, and some leftover glow bracelets from the symphony in the park concert to hand out. We also will have brochures about joining the club and information about Flags for Heroes.

Dues are Due
By now, club members should have received their dues statement via email for the first quarter of the 2023-2024 Rotary year. If you did not receive your statement, or you prefer a printed copy, please reach out to club treasurer, Mark Knodel.
We need your help! The bad news is, we are well behind schedule in securing sponsors for our Flags for Heroes event. The good news is, the event will still go on!
Based on feedback we've received, people enjoy seeing the flag display each year. And, they're starting to associate the display with our club. That's definitely a step in the right direction.
BUT... we need the club's support to make this event a success! A successful event allows us to continue giving back to the local community and supporting students for RYLA each year.
